A Live Online Evening Workshop
Y'all Alright
Out There?
- an honest evening for “eldest” daughters
For the “eldest daughters” of the Caribbean and African diaspora. You know who you are. You have been the responsible one since you were about nine.
What you'll walk out with
- The relief of hearing your own story in somebody else's mouth
- A name for the “eldest”-daughter patterns you keep running
- One simple thing to try before the phone rings again
- A room of diaspora women who just get it, no explaining
If this is you
- You answer the phone even when you know it's a whole situation
- “No” comes out of your mouth about once a year
- You already handled everybody's business before lunch
- Rest feels like something you have to earn first
You do not have to be the firstborn
If you are the one who holds everybody, the one they call when it falls apart, the one who grew up before it was your turn, this room is for you. Eldest is a job, not a birth order.
Community
A monthly, low-key evening for the “eldest daughters” of the Caribbean and African diaspora - the ones who hold everybody up. This isn’t therapy. It’s a room to breathe, be understood, and leave a little lighter than you came.
New theme each month. Come once, come every time - nothing to catch up on, ever.
Register for the Next SessionThis is a guided, educational community workshop - not therapy, counseling, or crisis support - and it does not create a therapeutic relationship. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.
